To anyone that knows me personally and even professionally you know how much I adore the Florida based band EVERGREEN TERRACE. Since the first time I heard there sound I was impressed and enthralled with there music. Then I saw them live and I got more supportive of the band. I’ve been able to interview them numerous time and I have seen there fanbase grow. The band as people change lineup and grow as musicians and now I am proud to say they have a new label in Metal Blade and a new album coming out in July of this year called WOLKBIKER. I heard a few songs the night they played CT with Hatebreed and the new stuff is going to blow you away. Not only did I get to see them live I also got to FINALLY talk to Vocalist Andrew about what a WOLFBIKER is, why they choice the label they did and got some little facts about the band members and him. so Read on and July 24th get your asses to the stores and buy the new album.

YOU GUYS SIGNED WITH METAL BLADE. KIND OF A UNIQUE CHOICE OF RECORD LABELS FOR YOU?
Yes, I guess

I WAS JUST WONDERING WHY YOU CHOSE METAL BLADE?
Because they’re a large independent kind of record label. It seemed like a good choice, they’ve got a lot of good bands

THEY DO!
They do, a lot of good bands and ya know maybe if they want to try something different with our style of music, hopefully it will work out and

OK, SO THEY’RE NOT CHANGING YOU?
No, they’re not changing us, the record’s not more metal or anything like that.

WHAT ARE YOU HOPING TO GET OUT OF THEM? IS IT BECAUSE THEY CAN GET YOUR RECORDS OUT
Yeah, yeah, of course. They can do way more than Eulogy could ever do., so they’re just bigger and they can push our record more and make the right moves of getting it out more which is awesome. Good for Metal Blade. Good for US!!

CAN YOU BREAKDOWN THE WHOLE MEANING OF WOLFBIKER? IS THERE A MEANING?
Yeah, there’s a meaning, actually we were driving up to New England Metal Fest the last time we played and we were just talking about….basically, it’s kind of hard to explain, doing what you want to do but staying positive, basically, the story would be your drinking a lot…..no that’s so bad, never mind. It’s basically doing whatever you feel that you should do and not what other people tell you to do. Doing what’s right for you and doing what you think is good for you instead of like having somebody else do, so that’s just basically Wolfbiker. What’s more gnarly than a werewolf on a motorcycle, he does whatever he wants to do, so kind of like that.

SO NOW, DO YOU FOLLOW THE MEANING OF THAT PERSONALLY?
Yeah, of course, it comes and goes with everybody’s personality, you don’t have to set the standard on being a crazy drunk person, I gonna fuckin take more shots, Wolfbiker. If that’s what you want to do then you can do that but like I think Josh is just as much a Wolfbiker as I am and he is straightedge

MUSICALLY DO YOU THINK YOU EXPERIMENTED MORE ON THE RECORD?
Yeah, not more experimental but definitely tuned up everything, made everything just better and just pushed ourselves to the extreme of what we can do at this moment, so experimenting, yeah maybe a little. Not crazy, nothing like Mars Volta-ish or anything like that.

THE TWO NEW SONGS YOU DID TONIGHT WERE VERY GOOD!
Well, Thanks. Thank You.

WHO DO YOU THINK HAS MATURED MORE ON THEIR INSTRUMENT?I don’t know, I think we all have. Getting our new drummer, he’s really pushing us, HE PUSHED US A LOT to be better because he’s a very good drummer and so everyone just kind of turned it up.

NOW YOU MIXED WITH JASON LIVERMORE? IS HE A NEW PERSON OR DID HE MIX YOUR OTHER STUFF
Yes we worked with him on this album but last time we got SINCERITY was mixed in the studio, Vision sound and this time it was sent out. The Vision sound recording is decent but not anywhere as good as Jason Livermore could do and he did countless, of my favorite punk records and some hardcore records too, so it’s awesome and honored to be mixed by him too, it’s just very cool to have someone who makes records from your past and apparently he’s mixing your record and he made it sound absolutely perfect, the way we wanted it.

YOU GUYS ARE ALL GROWN UP! (laughing)
All grown up, yeah

LYRICALLY, IS THERE A VISION YOU HAVE WHEN YOU GO IN FOR WRITING FOR LYRICS OR IS IT KIND OF LIKE, IT JUST COMES TO YOU OR DO YOU REALLY WANT TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING?
Defiantly on this new record we talk about a lot of things but basically, all the times that I write for the songs, cause Craig writes some lyrics….most of the songs and I write the basis of it. But yeah, this time we had the concepts that we wanted to talk about. I would write a song and we’d write about it and Craig would throw his parts into it and yeah there’s a lot more meaning in this record than in the other records, not to say our last records were meaningless but

DO YOU FEEL THERE IS ONE SONG ON THERE THAT YOU ARE MOST PROUD OF THAT YOU WROTE LYRICALLY?
Most proud of….huh yeah I think I like all the lyrics. The one that I wrote and I think I like the most is, there’s a song called TO THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF JACKSONVILLE and it’s about how these people, these church goers, they run but basically all the downtown, they have eleven blocks and they’re trying to push out the bars and push out all these “wicked people” which these people aren’t wicked at all, they’re just human beings wanting to have a good time

THE WOLFBIKER!
Yeah (laughing) They think it’s immoral to drink, that’s the silliest, ya know, write about that and write about they’re political stances, Jacksonville City and kind of so I’m kind of proud about that.

SINCE THE TOUR JUST STARTED, I WAS GOING TO ASK YOU WHO YOU BONDED WITH THE MOST ON THIS TOUR, BUT SINCE IT JUST STARTED, YOU PROBABLY HAVEN’T REALLY BONDED WITH ANYONE?
Nah, not too much. The guitar player from GOD FORBID, me and Craig and Jason sat down and we talked about just bullshit that’s going on in the world and that was pretty cool

ALL RIGHT NOW, ARE YOU GUYS AFTER THIS GOING BACK HOME OR ARE YOU
We go back home for maybe like two or three weeks and then we go over to Germany and play a festtival and then right after that we start our headlining tour for the CD.

IF YOU COULD NAME ONE FACT ABOUT EACH OF YOUR BAND MEMBERS, WHAT WOULD IT BE? SOMETHING THAT YOUR FANS DON’T KNOW BUT THEY SHOULD KNOW!
For real?

PUT YOU ON THE SPOT! (laughing)
I don’t know because we have a rule “what happens on tour, stays on tour”

OH, THE MYSTERY BAND! (laughing)
Yeah, I mean, we don’t do anything sketchy or bad, I think we’re just in it to have fun, let me think, something that wouldn’t be so

IS THERE ANY FAVORITE BREAKFAST FOODS THEY LIKE?
Jason’s a vegan, that’s a fun fact. Craig’s going to turn thirty on June 10th

OH, TELL HIM THIRTY WAS MY BEST YEAR.
OK, I’ll do that. Kyle, we nicknamed BUTTERS off of the Southpark, it’s just a little nickname we gave him cause he worries a lot. Not really, he’s just cute like that character. And Josh, Josh is just straight edge but everyone has that.

AND YOU?
And me, what about me. Hmmm…I don’t know

COME ON…WE’LL JUST HAVE TO MAKE SOMETHING UP!
I get paranoid about conspiracy theories.

DO YOU LAY AWAKE IN THE VAN THINKING ABOUT THEM?
Some times

REALLY! DO YOU READ ON THE ROAD?
Yes

YOU LOOK LIKE A READER!I try to.STAY OUT OF TROUBLE IN THE CORNER WITH YOUR BOOK!
Nah, I don’t do that.

ALL RIGHT, THE ALBUMS COMING OUT JULY 24TH?
Yes

THAT’S NOT CHANGING?
As far as I know. You picked the wrong person to interview, I don’t know anything (laughing)

THAT’S ALL RIGHT, YOU KNEW JULY 24TH!
I know

ARE YOU GUYS DOING A VIDEO?
Maybe, I’m pretty sure we will. Our last video didn’t get played anywhere, which was fine because I didn’t really like the video anyway. I liked the people and it looked really good and everybody who did it was just violent, I don’t like violent videos

HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT DOING ANOTHER DVD?
We thought about it, yeah. No, nothings in the works yet. I really want to do a Mexico tour with Casey Jones and do a DVD abut that and…but we’ll see.

THEY’RE FROM YOUR AREA TOO, AREN’T THERE?
Yeah, Josh is in Casey Jones, he’s the singer. Interesting fact about Josh.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE BEER?
Probably would have to be a wheat beer, any kind of a like a Heffervision

REALLY, THAT LEAVES A TASTE IN YOUR MOUTH!
It’s good though.

HAVE YOU DRANK ANY JAGER ON THIS TOUR YET?
No, no I haven’t seen any Jager around yet

IT’S A JAGER TOUR?!!
I haven’t seen one around, we’re not a Jager band, so I don’t know if they would give us anything.

(laughing) YOU’D HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!! (LAUGHING)
Yeah, all other bands are out drinking.
